Hawaii Pacific takes two in softball

Nicole Kalakau hit a two-run homer in the first inning and Sherise Musquiz pitched a five-hitter as Hawai'i Pacific beat Notre Dame de Namur, 8-0, in five innings Wednesday to complete a Pacific West Conference doubleheader sweep at Sea Warrior Field.

Lehua Yap drove in three runs and Nicole Riviera had two hits and two RBIs for the Sea Warriors (11-1, 4-0 PacWest).

Lindsay Crist had two hits for the Argos (7-26, 2-8).

In the opener, Tajia Acierto pitched a five-hitter, allowing just one earned run while striking out three and walking none, as HPU prevailed, 6-3.
