Hawaiian Telcom launches online business center

To help business owners and leaders succeed, Hawaiian Telcom Tuesday announced the launch of a new online portal that provides customized information for small, medium and large business operations.

The new business portal, at http://business.hawaiiantel.com, provides a broad range of free information on voice, data, Internet, wireless, managed services and converged services as well as communications equipment.

In addition to general information, the portal includes information tailored for specific industries, including wholesale trade, lodging, healthcare, banking, government, social services and real estate.

"Hawaiian Telcom provides the broadest range of communications products and services in the islands, including a wide array of solutions for business," said Mike McHale, Hawaiian Telcom's Chief Marketing Officer. "This new website gathers critical information all in one place and provides tools to help businesses evaluate what products and solutions are best suited for their particular industry and unique needs."

Information and features available from the portal include:

  • Online assessment tools to determine business needs and solutions.

  • Detailed information on the full range of Hawaiian Telcom products, services and solutions. From switched Ethernet and Dedicated Internet Access to legacy services such as Frame Relay and Centrex, customers can learn about all the alternatives for their voice and data communications needs.

  • Background on the latest equipment from major communications equipment manufacturers including Cisco, Nortel and NEC.

  • Invitation to tour the company's new business Solutions Center and Network Operations Center.

  • Current special offers and promotions.

  • Online viewing of bills.

    Hawaiian Telcom Solutions Center

    The new portal invites business customers to tour Hawaiian Telcom's new Solutions Center as well as the Network Operations Center. Both facilities are in downtown Honolulu and are unique in Hawai'i.

    At the Solutions Center, customers can test-drive advanced products, wireless devices and networking technologies. Customers also can consult with certified technicians trained by world equipment leaders Cisco and Nortel.

    In addition, customers can have a view into the Network Operations Center, where Hawaiian Telcom proactively and constantly monitors its statewide network as well as customer facilities. The center helps customers maintain mission-critical network communications 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
