More sunshine today, but rain may greet the weekend

More sunny skies and light winds are in the forecast today, but by tomorrow night there's a 90 percent chance of rain.

The National Weather Service forecast:

Today: Mostly sunny. Isolated showers in the morning, then scattered showers in the afternoon. Highs 73 to 80. Southeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy early in the evening then clearing. Scattered showers early in the evening, then isolated showers in the late evening and overnight. Lows 61 to 68. South winds 10 mph to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with numerous showers. Highs 73 to 80. South winds 10 mph to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Friday night: Cloudy with frequent showers. Lows 62 to 69. West winds 10 mph to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.

Saturday: Partly sunny with scattered showers. Highs 71 to 78. Northwest winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with scattered light showers. Lows 60 to 67. North winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Sunday: Sunny with isolated light showers. Highs 72 to 78. East winds 10 mph to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
