Postal Service goes online to mark 'USPS.com Week'

Advertiser Staff

The Postal Service will mark "USPS.com Week" next week by conducting interactive demonstrations for customers at four post offices on O'ahu.

The first demonstration session is scheduled for noon to 3 p.m. Monday at the Airport Post Office.

USPS.com Week will continue with demonstrations from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Mililani Post Office, 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday the Pearl City Post Office and 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Kailua Post Office.

Small Business Specialist Janlee Mau will use wireless Internet capability to demonstrate to customers how to use USPS.com to pay for and print out postage labels, arrange for package pickup, track and confirm packages, create direct mailing pieces online, order free shipping supplies and access other features. Customers will also be able to pick up free supplies of the Postal Service's popular flat rate shipping boxes and enter a drawing for an electronic shipping scale.

"Almost anything you can do at the post office you can do online at USPS.com" Mau says. "These USPS.com Week demonstrations give us opportunities to show customers how to make the most of their time and of the helpful online postal services that are available."

Customers can also sign up for a pair of free workshops: Intro to eBay, to be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. March 21 and Online Shipping at USPS.com, 5 to 6:30 p.m. March 22. Both of these workshops will be held in the computer training room at the Airport Post Office.

To register for a workshop, contact Mau at 423-3937 or janet.l.mau@usps.gov.
