Coast Guard sets record for cocaine removal

The U.S. Coast Guard confiscated 97,635 pounds of cocaine between Oct. 1, 2006, and Jan. 1, 2007. The Coast Guard made the announcement out of Washington yesterday.The cocaine removal is a new high for the Coast Guard, eclipsing the previous high of 76,925 pounds set during the first quarter of fiscal 2006.
