Waikoloa Beach Marriott finishes $50M renovation

Advertiser Staff

The Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on the Big Island is celebrating completion of a $50 million renovation this week.

The upgrade includes a new Mandara Spa — which resulted in a name change to reflect its importance to the resort — and a new Naupaka Ballroom, which hotel officials boast is the newest hotel ballroom in the state in more than a decade.

Other new amenities include a new swimming pool, a redesigned Hawai'i Calls restaurant as well as flat-screen TVs and wireless Internet. The resort, which overlooks 'Anaeho'omalu Bay and ancient Hawaiian fishponds, includes 555 guest rooms.

To encourage guests to check out the upgrades, the hotel is offering a free night for those who book a four days with the "Hawaiian Sand Dollars" package at $425 a night including daily breakfast for two.
