Woman struck by car near Hard Rock Cafe intersection

An elderly woman struck by a car shortly after 5 this morning near Kalakaua Avenue and Kapi'olani Boulevard was transported to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition, Honolulu Emergency Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic said.

The woman was reportedly sitting up on the curb and walking around as help arrived.

Last night, a 63-year-old man was struck by a truck while crossing a road in 'Aiea. He remains in critical condition.

The man was reportedly outside of the crosswalk when he was struck. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors.

There have been 10 pedestrian fatalities on O'ahu this year
