State technology official to address telcom conference

Yuka Nagashima, executive director and chief executive of the High Technology Development Corporation will talk about Gov. Linda Lingle's "Innovation Initiative," during the Hawaii TeleCommunications Association meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 28 at the Hale Koa Hotel's Waikiki Showroom on 2055 Kalia Road.

The HTDC is a state agency that focuses on the development and growth of the commercial high-tech industry.

Nagashima is former president and one of the founders of Internet service provider LavaNet. The cost is $19 for members and $29 for non-members.
