All-star concert today at UH

The Honolulu Piano Teachers Association will present its all-star concert today at Orvis Auditorium at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. and highlights Hawai'i's musical diversity.

Performing will be classical musicians Iggy Jang, Larry Paxton and Thomas Rosenkranz. Nola Nahulu's Hawaiian choir Kawaiolaonapukamileo and jazz artists Les Peetz and Rachel Gonsalves also will perform.

Proceeds will benefit the music scholarship program at UH.

Admission is $15, $10 for students. Refreshments will be served after the concert.

The Honolulu Piano Teachers Association is a nonprofit organization started in 1950. It is dedicated to maintaining the professionalism of piano teachers through educational and musical events.
