By Catherine E. Toth
Advertiser Urban Honolulu Writer

In celebration of the University of Hawai'i's 100th anniversary, the International Student Association will throw a birthday bash March 16 at the Campus Center Ballroom.

The event, called "The International Night 2007: A Century of Aloha," runs from 6 to 9 p.m.

It will feature music, ethnic performances, cultural booths and games from different countries.

There are more than 1,000 international students in all degree programs at UH. This is the biggest event ever organized by the ISA.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the importance of students' attitudes toward and global understanding of different cultures, while exposing students and members of the community to different customs and traditions from around the world.
