North Shore surf may reach 10 feet today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along the north-facing shores of O'ahu is on the way up and should hit 6 to 10 feet today, according to the National Weather Service.

Waves are expected to reach 4 to 7 feet along west-facing shores, 1 to 3 feet along east-facing shores, and 3 to 6 feet along south-facing shores.

The northwest and north swells will peak this weekend, with surf remaining below the advisory threshold. A small south swell will continue through Tuesday.

A new northwest swell arriving late Tuesday may produce surf above the warning level of 25 feet on the north shore.
