Mid-Pacific beats Iolani in ILH baseball, 5-4

Easton Torigoe batted 2-for-2 with a double and drove in two runs as Mid-Pacific defeated Iolani, 5-4, today in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu baseball game at MPI field.

It was the season opener for MPI (1-0) and Iolani's third game. The Raiders are 2-1.

Mid-Pacific scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to overcome a 3-2 deficit.

Reyn Nagamine batted 2-for-2 with a double, a run and a run batted in. Grant Iwamoto hit a bases-empty homer for Iolani.

Aaron Fujiki had a double and a run batted in for MI and Michael Arakaki scored two runs.
