UH's Wichmann finishes 11th in NCAA pentathlon

University of Hawai'i's Annett Wichmann amassed 4,007 points to finish 11th in the pentathlon tdoay at the NCAA Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.

Wichmann, the first Rainbow Wahine to qualify for the national meet, fell short of her goal of 4,100 points.

Although finishing last in the 16-athlete field, she scored her best in the opening event when she ran the 60-meter hurdles in 9.01 seconds for 908 points.

Her other results were: high jump (5-7?, 879 points, tie for fourth), shot put (41-4›, 702, fifth), long jump (17-10A, 683, 13th) and 800 (2:19.18, 835, fifth).
