No NIT bid for Rainbow Warriors

The season ended for the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team without a berth in the National Invitation Tournament.The 18-13 Rainbow Warriors were not one of the 32 teams chosen to play in the NIT.
The announcement was made on ESPN2.
The 'Bows were en route back to Honolulu from Las Cruces, N.M., site of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament, when the announcement was made.
Fresno State (22-9) and Utah State (23-11) were the only WAC representatives.
