Hawai'i's Wilson finishes 19th at PODS, earns $57,638

Former Kane'ohe resident and Castle High alumnus Dean Wilson shot an even-par 71 today and tied for 19th place in the PODS Championship in Palm Harbor, Fla.

Wilson's four-round total was 3-under 281, earning him $57,638.

Mark Calcavecchia shot a 1-under 70 for a 10-under 274 to win the event and the $954,000 first prize.

Another Hawai'i golfer, Parker McLachlin, a former Honolulu resident and Punahou School alumnus, missed the cut Friday.
