Surf: North Shore could see 6 to 9 feet today

Advertiser Staff

Look for surf today of 6 to 9 feet on north-facing shores on O'ahu, the National Weather Service said.

Today's forecast also calls for surf of 2 to 4 feet along west-facing shores, 1 to 3 feet along east-facing shores, and 3 to 5 feet along south-facing shores.

The north swell will persist through tomorrow or Tuesday, while a small south swell will continue through tomorrow as well, forecasters said.

A new northwest swell is expected to arrive late Tuesday, pushing surf above the warning level of 25 feet on the north shore and 20 feet on the west shore through Wednesday, and continuing above advisory levels through Thursday.
