Woman released in theft, extortion probe

A 38-year-old Makakilo woman arrested Thursday in connection with a police probe into thefts of heavy equipment from construction sites and offers to have them returned for payment has been released pending further investigation.The woman lives at an Akaula Street address where Vance Grace, 48, was arrested late last month by police on suspicion of extortion and theft.
Grace is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
The woman is under investigation for extortion and three counts of first-degree theft.
