6 teens missing from foster homes are located

Advertiser Staff

Six teenagers previously listed on the state Department of Human Services Missing Children Web site were reported found last week, department officials said.

Lillian Koller, department director, asked for the public's help in finding the 65 children who remain missing.

The missing teenagers are believed to have voluntarily left their foster care homes, often without notifying their foster parents or social service workers.

Information about the missing teenagers can be found on the Internet at www.hawaii.gov/missing-children.

Anyone with information about any of the missing children is asked to call police.

Youth who are on the run or who are thinking about leaving their foster homes are asked to call (808) 255-8365.
