Man accused of kidnapping wife in Waimanalo

Prosecutors charged a 41-year-old man today with allegedly kidnapping his wife and threatening her with a hammer over a three-day period in Waimanalo.David Kane Makuakane, who has no permanent local address, is accused of kinapping, terroristic threatening and abuse of a family member. He was arrested at 8:45 p.m. Friday at Bellows beach. Bail was $18,000.
