The dynamic duo of Mililani senior midfielders Stephanie Yoro and Natalie Wong were named the O'ahu Interscholastic Association West Players of the Year.

"We were fortunate to have two outstanding players feed off each other," said Mililani coach Ray Akiona, who called his midfielders "dynamic."

Mililani placed five on the first team. Along with Yoro, who was the West Player of the Year last year, and Wong, defenders Jasmine Pratt and Amanda Doi, and goalkeeper Joleen Realin were picked.

Kapolei placed forward Liana Gualdarama, midfielder Chyanne Alejado and defender Chaney Lopez. Pearl City also had three picks, with forward Meghan Fuller, who led the league with 19 goals, midfielder Carisa Calpo and defender Nestle Yamaguchi.

'Aiea forward Jaimie Watkins completes the first team.

Wong, Yoro, Lopez, Alejado, Pratt and Yamaguchi are all repeat selections.

Akiona and Leilehua coach Mathew Smithe were named the co-coaches of the year. Akiona's Trojans won the West title and the Mules were fourth.
