UH women's sailing team places 14th in Navy regatta

The University of Hawai'i women's sailing team finished 14th at the Navy Women's Spring Intersectional that ended Sunday at Annapolis, Md.

The College of Charleston won the regatta with 162 points, followed by Navy (168) and Stanford (172).

Hawai'i finished with 433 points. Crystal Bronte, Darla Baldwin and Pam Magasinn finished 15th in the A division (231 points) and Becky Mabardy, Jackie McLoughlin and Magasinn were 12th in the B division (202 points).

Eighteen teams competed in 36 races, 18 each in the A and B divisions, over two days.

The Rainbow Wahine will sail in the St. Francis Collegiate Invitational in San Francisco, March 31 to April 1.
