UH's Rodrigues named WAC pitcher of the week

University of Hawai'i pitcher Mark Rodrigues was named the Western Athletic Conference pitcher of the week, the conference office announced today.

Rodrigues (5-1), a senior from Koloa, Kaua'i, pitched seven scoreless innings in UH's 4-0 win over 24th-ranked Arizona Saturday. Rodrigues allowed three hits and struck out four.

Louisiana Tech outfielder Brian Rike was named the WAC hitter of the week.
