120 turn out to clean up graffiti in McCully, Mo'ili'ili

By Catherine E. Toth
Advertiser Urban Honolulu Writer

More than 120 people cleaned up graffiti in the McCully and Mo'ili'ili areas Saturday as part of a community project to combat the growing problem of vandalism.

Concerned citizens, students, lawmakers, business owners and law enforcement turned out despite threatening rain to paint over walls, remove stickers from lampposts and clean graffiti from playground equipment.

The group of volunteers, organized by T.A.G. (Totally Against Graffiti) Team, cleaned graffiti at Ala Wai Community Park, Ala Wai Neighborhood Park, McCully Recreation Center, Stadium Park and Mo'ili'ili Field.
