Rodrigues leads Roosevelt by Kalaheo in OIA basketball

Iwalani Rodrigues scored 20 points as Roosevelt beat Kalaheo, 49-24, tonight in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red East opener for both teams.The host Rough Riders took control with an 8-0 run at the end of the first quarter to take a 13-8 lead.
Roosevelt's Tasia Kamakawiwo'ole added nine points and Jayna Tasaka scored all seven of her points in the third quarter, including two 3-pointers.
Shanadee Canon scored 15 points to lead Kalaheo.
