O'ahu Head Start, which provides preschool services for lower-income children at more than 80 centers islandwide, is also recruiting children for the 2007-08 school year. Children must have been born in 2003 or 2004. In addition to teaching kindergarten readiness skills, the program assigns each child a nurse, family advocate, dental hygienist, nutritionist and other support services.
