Surf starting small, but could reach warning levels

A large west-northwest swell is expected to arrive late today that will produce surf above the 25-foot warning level on the North Shore and near the 20-foot warning level on western shores, the National Weather Service said.In the meantime, northern shores will see surf 3 feet to 5 feet with possible small increases by sundown. Surf along west-facing shores will be 2 feet to 4 feet, eastern shores will see surf 1 foot to 3 feet and southern shores will see surf 2 feet to 4 feet.
