WAILUKU
Venue changed for Dalai Lama

Advertiser Staff

The Dalai Lama's public appearances on Maui April 24-25 have been moved to War Memorial Stadium due to the demand for tickets.

Maui is the only Hawai'i stop for the Tibetan spiritual leader. The Dalai Lama will give a free public talk on "The Human Approach to World Peace" April 24. Tickets are $20 for the April 25 event, when he will speak on "Eight Verses for Training the Mind: A Buddhist Philosophical Discourse." Both events will run from 2 to 3:30 p.m., with gates open at 10 a.m.

Tickets are available at www.MauiArts.org or the Maui Arts & Cultural Center box office at (808) 242-7469.
