Suspect in attack on firefighter arrested

A man who allegedly attacked a firefighter at the scene of a car collision was arrested on suspicion of assault today, police said.At 12:29 p.m., city emergency services technicians and Honolulu firefighters responded to the scene of a collision at the intersection of Kapiolani Boulevard and Keeaumoku Street.
A 38-year-old man on a moped was taken to The Queens Medical Center in serious condition.
At 1:04 p.m., a man described by police as "homeless" attacked a firefighter who helping to clean debris from the street.
Officers tackled the man, who was taken to Straub Hospital for treatment for minor injuries before he was arrested on suspicion of assault.
