Volcom to open surf-wear outlet in Hawai'i

Volcom Inc., a California-based surf-wear company, is planning to open at least one retail store in Hawai'i, adding to the three it already operates on the Mainland.It is looking at a Waikiki location as part of the four stores it plans to open in Hawai'i and California this year, Volcom said in a regulatory filing. The Costa Mesa, California-based company recently paid $4.2 milion for its second beachfront home on O'ahu's North Shore. It plans to use the residences for marketing events and to house its sponsored surfers during the winter surf season.
