Boys choir holding auditions

Boys 6 1/2 to 12 years old, who can sing, aren't shy and are eager to travel are invited to audition for The Honolulu Boy Choir.

Jeff Cunningham, the boy choir's executive director, is eager to expand the roster to 70 boys; 50 are now part of the choir.

The new prospects would join the beginning choir.

Plans include a fund-raiser at the Pacific Beach Hotel, a choir performance tour to Los Angeles in June and another concert in the fall with high school boys who are alumni of the choir.

Practice sessions are held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at Makiki Christian Church.
