Police pursue suspect in Nanakuli surf

Police called for fire rescue assistance tonight in trying to apprehend a shoplifting suspect who fled into the ocean and is at risk in rough surf.A fire company and the HFD helicopter were dispatched to an area across the Sack 'N Save Foods store on Farrington Highway in Nanakuli. The suspect is a man who weighs over 300 pounds, police said.
