Building fire reported on Laenani Drive in Kahalu'u

A second alarm was sounded following a report of a building fire near 47-050 Laenani Drive in Kahalu'u.The first call for assistance was received at about 10:25 a.m.
Four fire units were dispatched to the scene.
Michelle Tanaka, an employee at Schrader's Windward Country Inn, said the fire appeared to be at a single-family home about two blocks from the inn.
She said flames from the fire were visible at the inn.
"It went up really fast," Tanaka said.
She said the fire appeared to be largely extinguished as of 10:50 a.m.
