TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Bones," 7 p.m., Fox. After a long rest, this series returns with an excellent hour. Brennan's romance with Agent Sullivan is complicated by her unstated emotional link with Booth. Meanwhile, real murders seem to be copying the ones in her novel. Still, the three murders seem wildly unrelated. What emerges is a clever mystery.

"Saints & Sinners" debut 7 p.m., MyNetwork (KFVE). This new telenovela — which airs each Wednesday — uses the "Romeo and Juliet" story, only with better hair and worse dialog. Roman Martin has just proposed to Julie Capshaw. That's perilous, since their families have competing Miami hotels. It's complicated further when he's found, soaked in blood, over her dad's body. Each character soon reacts in a bigger-than-life, soap opera kind of way. Nothing is even faintly believable, but the screen is filled with pretty people and settings. Veterans Maria Conchita Alonso and Mel Harris chew scenery obligingly. Natalie Martinez (who starred in the "Fashion House" telenovela) is much better as Roman's pious sister, enamored with a fake priest. It's that kind of show.

OF NOTE

"Jericho," 7 p.m., CBS. So far, the people in Jericho have had little news about what has happened elsewhere. Now, however, Marines arrive and say there have been similar nuclear explosions in Iran and North Korea.

"Friday Night Lights," 7 p.m., NBC. Here's a second chance to see an episode that was previously buried by "American Idol." The playoffs are near and Smash's mom makes a discovery that could ruin his career.

"Sit Down Comedy with David Steinberg," 7 p.m., TV Land. Jon Stewart is interviewed.

"Halfway Home" debut, 7:30 p.m., Comedy Central. Set in a halfway house, this series has some good people tackling improvised comedy. That includes Regan Burns of "Oblivious" and Oscar Nunez of "The Office."

"Crossing Jordan," 8 p.m., NBC. Jordan finds that a deadly virus might be streaking through Boston. She and Woody investigate; meanwhile, Bug worries about Lily, who is pregnant and may have been exposed to the virus.

"American Idol," 8 p.m., Fox. Now the show is in its pattern of one elimination a week. Tonight, we learn which of the 12 singers — a guy, presumably — will be gone.

" 'Til Death," 8:30 p.m., Fox. This above-average comedy is back, in a cozy new time slot. Tonight, Eddie and Joy (Brad Garrett and Joely Fisher) visit their daughter in college. They're distressed to learn she plans on spending the semester in a pottery collective.

"Lost," 9 p.m., ABC. Claire has a new plan for getting noticed and getting rescued. However, Charlie doesn't seem happy about it.

"Medium," 9 p.m., NBC. In a rerun, a mother and daughter have been killed. Allison and her own daughter have visions of the murders from different perspectives.
