Goal is to get dads involved

Advertiser Staff

O'ahu Head Start will honor fathers Friday with a free event at Ke'ehi Lagoon that includes games, train rides, bouncers, arts and crafts and other activities for children.

The goal of the event, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., is to encourage fathers to spend more time with their children.

O'ahu Head Start, which provides preschool services for lower-income children at more than 80 centers islandwide, is also recruiting children for the 2007-08 school year.

Children must have been born in 2003 or 2004.
