2 hurt when car hits coconut tree near Sunset Beach

Two people were injured about 4:10 this morning when the car they were in ran off Kamehameha Highway and struck a coconut tree near Sunset Beach.A 43-year-old man who was driving the car and a 39-year-old woman passenger were taken to The Queen's Medical Center and were listed in serious condition.
The driver was initially reported to be in critical condition.
