The Philadelphia Eagles signed free-agent wide receiver Kevin Curtis to a six-year contract, replacing Donte' Stallworth, who signed with New England last week.

The Eagles didn't disclose financial details of Curtis's contract in announcing the acquisition on their Web site. ESPN reported it to be worth $32 million, with $9.5 million guaranteed.

"He has speed, he has run-after-the-catch ability, he can catch the ball and he is a smart kid," Eagles General Manager Tom Heckert told the Web site. "Everything added up."

Curtis, 28, has played his entire four-year National Football League career for the St. Louis Rams after being drafted in 2003 out of Utah State.

Last season, he caught 40 passes for 479 yards and four touchdowns in a wide receiver corps that featured Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce.

Philadelphia's other wide receivers include Reggie Brown, who signed a five-year contract extension in November, as well as Greg Lewis, Hank Baskett and Jason Avant.

Stallworth had 38 catches for 725 yards and five touchdowns last season, missing four games due to injury.
