New UH chancellor to be introduced today

Virginia Hinshaw will be the incoming chancellor at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.

University of California Davis

University of Hawai'i President David McClain and Kitty Lagareta, chairwoman of the UH Board of Regents, will introduce UH-Manoa's new chancellor, Virginia Hinshaw, at a press conference this afternoon.

Hinshaw is currently provost and executive vice chancellor at the University of California Davis and was appointed to her new job by the Board of Regents yesterday.

The press conference is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today in the Bachman Hall Lobby.
