Search for missing man on Maui continues

KIHEI, Maui — A third day of searching failed to locate a 78-year-old Los Angeles man whose family said he didn't return from a planned swim at Keawakapu Beach on Wednesday.Officials have not released the man's name. His family reported him missing at about 8 p.m. Wednesday. His goggles and shirt were found at the beach.
Ground, aerial and ocean searches by the Coast Guard and Maui Fire Department so far have failed to locate the man, who had been staying on Maui since February, a fire official said.
