Mos Def tickets go on sale Monday

Tickets go on sale Monday for Mos Def's concert at 10 p.m. April 12 at the Pipeline Cafe. Doors open at 9 p.m.

Mos Def, with roots in hip-hop, has emerged as a multitasking entertainer, with acting ("Bamboozled," "Monster's Ball"), stage ("Topdog/Underdog) and books (the upcoming "Black, 2.0") on his plate. His next album, "True Magic," is slated to be released later this year.

Krystilez will be on the concert bill, along with DJ Jimmy Taco and DJ XL.

Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 at the door, through Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.tickermaster.com and phone at (877) 750-4400. The show is restricted to those 18 and older.
