WAI'ALAE
New books in Kalani library

Advertiser Staff

Kalani High School has added nearly 100 new books to the school's library collection after last weekend's book drive at the Kahala Mall Barnes & Noble, said Anne Torige, school librarian.

Donors included current students, alumni, current and retired faculty and neighbors, Torige said.

"Three neighbors purchased more than $1,000 worth of books," Torige said. "We are truly grateful for everyone's support for our school library."

The school's library is in need of new books after Torige cleaned house and found many books were printed 30 years ago or were eaten by bookworms.
