WAI'ANAE
Youths to rally over violence

Advertiser Staff

In response to flare-ups of violence earlier this month at Nanakuli High and Intermediate, Wai'anae High and Farrington High, Adult Friends for Youth will hold a rally from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on the grounds of the state Capitol and Honolulu Hale.

The rally will highlight high-risk youth who have left troubled pasts behind as well as inform the public that there are solutions to youth and violence issues that plague the community.

Some 150 AFY students who have overcome drug issues, dysfunctional families, gang affiliation and violent behaviors will attend.
