Film looks at global warming

The Kahuku Public & School Library is offering programs and classes Tuesday evenings including the film "Global Warming, The Signs and the Science" at 6:30 p.m. next week.

The 2005 film looks at drought, flooding and glacial melting as signs of changes to come. A lecture on the issue has been canceled.

On the following Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., Cathy Teriipaia, costume designer for the Polynesian Cultural Center, will demonstrate how to make the Maori poi ball. Teriipaia will also teach participants how to use the dance implement.
