Vacant house burns on Big Island

Big Island firefighters said an uninhabited home was destroyed by a fire this morning in Honaunau.A second uninhabited home sustained minor damage.
Firefighters arrived at the scene on Brunner Road about 7:19 a.m., and found a 600-square-foot single-story home ablaze. It took 17 firefighters about 45 minutes to get the flames under control.
Flames from the first home scorched the second structure, an 800-square-foot home.
The cause is under investigation.
