Washington State falls to Vanderbilt in 2 OTs, 78-74

SACRAMENTO — Shane Foster made a fastbreak slam dunk with 5 seconds remaining in the second overtime today to seal Vanderbilt's 78-74 victory over Washington State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at ARCO Arena.

Washington State guard Derrick Low, an 'Iolani School graduate and three-time Advertiser State Player of the Year, led the Cougars with 21 points and added three assists, two rebounds and two steals.

He swished a 3-pointer from the right wing with 38.9 seconds remaining in the first overtime to tie the score at 69-69, where it stood heading into the second OT.
