Trade wind weather expected into next week

The trade winds are continuing to make their return to Hawai'i, bringing with them what the National Weather Service calls typical trade wind weather.

That is to say shower activity will mainly occur over windward and mauka sections of most islands by tonight and Sunday.

The trades should hang around throughout the coming week, forecasters said.

Here's a more detailed look at the next several days:

Today, sunny. Isolated showers in the morning. Highs 76 to 82. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 62 to 70. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday, sunny with isolated showers. Highs 76 to 83. East winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday night, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 62 to 70. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, sunny with isolated showers. Highs 76 to 82. East winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 63 to 71. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
