Waste firm buys cart for Honokai Hale security patrols

Officials from the Waste Management company on Friday presented residents of Honokai Hale and Nanakai Gardens with a new electric golf cart to be used for community patrols."Waste Management has always been a good community partner and they have already donated safety vests and flashlights to our foot patrols," said Linda Martinez, president of the Honokai Hale/Nanakai Gardens Community Association. "As soon as they understood how helpful the golf cart would be to increase our community patrol's responsiveness, they were quick to donate the funds."
Martinez said residents have fought hard to keep drugs and other unwanted influences and activities out of their community.
