UH's Tausaga named WAC softball hitter of the week

Hawai'i's Tyleen Tausaga, who hit .588 last week in the Bank of Hawai'i Invitational, was named the Western Athletic Conference's softball hitter of the week.

Tausaga, a first baseman/designated player, had 10 hits, including two home runs, and scored six runs. She had a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .682 on-base percentage.

UH went 4-2 in the tournament, beating Baylor, 2-1, in the championship game on Saturday.

Fresno State's Robin Mackin was named the WAC pitcher of the week.
