Robinson pitches, hits UH to softball victory

Kate Robinson pitched and powered the University of Hawai'i to a 9-0 victory over Nevada in a Western Athletic Conference softball opener for both teams tonight at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

Robinson pitched a three-hit complete game, striking out nine and walking two in six innings. She improved to 8-0.

She also slammed two homers and drove in four runs.

UH is 29-7 and 1-0 in the WAC. Nevada is 7-20 and 0-1.

Kaulana Gould, Brandi Peiler and Alana Power each had two hits for UH.
