UH's Frick advances to World 1-meter diving semifinals

University of Hawai'i diver Magnus Frick of Ingaro, Sweden, was 10th in the 1-meter springboard preliminaries today and advanced to tomorrow's semifinals at the 12th FINA World Aquatic Championships at Melbourne, Australia.

Frick scored a 370.00 points in six dives.

Yutong Luo of China led the preliminaries with 466.50, followed by China's Chong He (423.30) and Siarhei Kuchmasau of Belarus (387.75).

Frick is slated to dive in the 3-meter on Wednesday.
