Drop off junk, help charity

Advertiser Staff

Need to get rid of junk?

On Saturday, residents can drop off recyclable items and donations — everything from cans and bottles to car parts — at Farrington High School.

Local recycling businesses will pick up the items for free, and make a donation to charity. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the high school parking lot.

Acceptable drop-off items include scrap metal, appliances, wood beams, car parts, bicycles, car batteries, cell phones, printer cartridges, useable clothing and household items, newspapers, cardboard or beverage containers.

For more information on what can be donated, call 547-7007.
